Switching
A Sitter Pro alternative that is still its own product
Sitter Pro joined forces with EngineHire in 2024 and sitter.app now redirects to enginehire.io. If you did not choose EngineHire, this is the moment to choose something.

Why agencies move off Sitter Pro
Nobody has announced a shutdown, and we are not going to imply one. What is verifiable is that Sitter Pro's own pages now resolve to a competitor's domain, and that neither domain publishes a price. For an agency that picked Sitter Pro because it was small, focused and straightforward, that is a change worth reacting to.
Your software quietly became a different company's
Sitter Pro and EngineHire announced they had joined forces in March 2024, and the product pages redirect accordingly. Whatever the corporate structure, the thing you bought is not being sold as its own product any more.
Still no price on either site
Neither sitter.app nor enginehire.io carries a figure. Rostavo publishes $99 a month for the first office seat and $49 for each further one, with every feature included and no demo in the way.
A nanny agency is not only a nanny agency for long
Agencies that start with sitters add housekeepers, then permanent placements. Rostavo runs nanny, pet, cleaning, household and home care work on one system, and tracks a placement fee and its replacement guarantee as a separate thing from an hourly booking.
Where Sitter Pro is the better choice
EngineHire, which is where Sitter Pro now points, has been doing this far longer than we have, has a deeper US payroll and tax story, and has a genuinely good support reputation at 4.8 on Capterra. UrbanSitter also brings backup-care demand that we have no equivalent of at all: if corporate backup care is part of your revenue, that is a real reason to stay. We do not run payroll and do not intend to.
What switching actually involves
The reason agencies stay on software they have outgrown is almost never the software. It is the fortnight of retyping they imagine. We do that part.
-
Step 1
Export your families, sitters, bookings and rates from Sitter Pro, or send us a read-only login.
-
Step 2
We load them and rebuild your rate cards, including any evening, weekend and holiday premiums.
-
Step 3
You check the numbers against your own records before anything is switched off.
-
Step 4
Month to month, no contract, no notice period.
Moving from Sitter Pro
Do you take corporate backup care bookings?
No. UrbanSitter feeds backup-care jobs to agencies through that group, and we have nothing equivalent. If that demand is a meaningful part of your income, staying where the demand is may well beat any software difference.
How long does moving take?
An afternoon for most agencies. You can import workers and families yourself from a CSV, with a preview before anything is written, or send us the file and we will do it.
Can families still book themselves?
Yes. Families have their own login to request and cancel visits, see reports and photos, and pay invoices. There is also a bookable form you can embed in your own website.
Still weighing it up?
The feature-by-feature comparison, including the rows where Sitter Pro wins.
Have tomorrow go like that.
Set your agency up this afternoon. It costs nothing to see whether it suits you.
