Comparison

Rostavo vs Sitter Pro

The honest starting point: Sitter Pro and EngineHire joined forces, and sitter.app now redirects to enginehire.io.

Sitter Pro was a nanny and sitter agency platform owned by UrbanSitter. In March 2024 it announced it had joined forces with EngineHire, and today its product pages redirect to EngineHire's domain. That is checkable in a browser in about five seconds, and it is the most important fact in this comparison: choosing Sitter Pro now means choosing EngineHire, which quotes privately and publishes no price.

The honest answer

There is not much of a live comparison left to make, which is itself the point. If you are on Sitter Pro today, the decision in front of you is whether to continue into EngineHire, and that is a decision about EngineHire: a capable, long-established platform that will not tell you what it costs until you have sat through a demo. Our EngineHire comparison is the one worth reading. If you would rather pick a product that is still its own product and publishes its price, that is what we are offering.

Rostavo vs Sitter Pro. Questions

Is Sitter Pro shutting down?

Neither company has said so. What is public is that Sitter Pro and EngineHire announced in March 2024 that they had joined forces, and that sitter.app now redirects to enginehire.io. Draw your own conclusion, but check the redirect yourself rather than taking ours.

Who owns Sitter Pro?

UrbanSitter, which acquired it in 2019. The 2024 announcement was framed as a partnership between UrbanSitter, Sitter Pro and EngineHire rather than as an acquisition of one by the other.

Can you import my Sitter Pro data?

Yes, if you can get an export of your families, sitters and rates. Send us the file, or a read-only login, and we will do the loading and the matching.
